Nursery Ideas!

I wanted to post some ideas that have been floating around in my head for a while now. Chris already picked out the bedding and Auntie Michonne made the most awesome quilt I have ever seen! So I have some pretty good bases to work with.

Ok, so I like the bedding Chris picked out below to the right, but I want to stay away from making everything matchy-matchy. So I am going to mix it up with some bold colors on the walls, like a bright green and maybe a dark blue stripe. Then of course you can see I LOVE the idea of a tree on the wall. I think they’re so neat! And last but not least, a definite focal point in the room will be Meesh’s Quilt. Isn’t it lovely?!

Moving Day!

Moving day actually went very smoothly. Everything is now in the new house with the exception of a few items that we need to take apart in order to get them out of the apartment, those will be moved this weekend. :) Rooms are starting to take shape! I unpacked the kitchen yesterday and started on the bedroom. I got tired super fast though so I gave up after a bit. Today I am thinking I will tackle the rest of the bedroom and start on the nursery. There isnt much to do in there yet because we dont have any furniture, but I am hoping to get some things organized so that I can start doing something with the walls. I am not sure if I want to paint or not, but I think the room looks kind of boring without some sort of motif.

Elvis and Bella are adjusting well to their new home, and have taken a great liking to the yard. Both of them slept in the sun on the patio yesterday, so cute! So far the neighbors are ok. No complaints yet. (except maybe the guy next door who's front drive looks like a swap meet...) I really can't judge anyone though because my yard looks like hell. The owner basically stopped taking care of everything when we went under contract, so now there are waist high weeds everywhere. Going to have to get out there and take care of those soon because they are driving me insane!

Other than that, we are just figuring out how to adjust to the new drives to work. I was about 35 minutes early this am, which is no doubt better than being late, but still.

Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon of the house, I am just reluctant to put pictures up before the house is in order. You know me and my OCD...

NEW HOUSE!

We finally closed on our new house yesterday. So at least that is done and taken care of before the baby's arrival. Now we just have to get moved in! :) Pictures to come soon!

35 Weeks and counting...

Still hanging in there guys! I am measuring right on schedule and start weekly appointments next week. Hopefully we will get a good idea of how the little guy is measuring up and when we can expect him to arrive next week at our appointment. Dr. said we wont have another ultrasound until week 38, if we make it that far, which is really dissapointing. I really wanted to see him one last time on the screen before he comes into the world all bright and shiny new. I see all of the awesome ultrasound pictures that my friends have of their little ones and am slightly jealous that we haven't gotten a better picture of his cute little face. Keep your fingers crossed for me that maybe I can talk the Doc into doing one early. :)

Still no name. Its pretty sad to not be able to name your child. I am struggling with this big time and have been searching endlessly for the perfect name, which I know is out there. Wish me luck on that front.

33 weeks

We're sitting pretty at 33 weeks now. Well not so pretty... swollen ankles and all... BUT it is still fun being pregnant! I promise that even through all the complaining and whining that I do, I am still enjoying this process. It has certainly become quite the journey, but all in all has been a fun one. I haven't had too many complications, other than the occasional sciatic pain and high blood pressure, so I am definitely thankful for that. And even on my crappiest day I still feel good every time I feel the little guy kick.

We are not making much headway on the name front. With the stress of buying a home and finishing up my semester at school, we have been pretty preoccupied. Any suggestions are welcome! :)

I just finished up school this week, so I am free for the next 16 weeks to enjoy the last part of my pregnancy and to start making our new house a home including the baby's room, which is going to be my favorite part! Hopefully the house will close escrow next week and we will be moving in by the first of May!

Other than that, I have been working away at PCH. I recently cut my hours to 32 per week which has given me great relief. I have felt my blood pressure decline with each shortened week and am so thankful that I was in the position to take that time off.

Chris is doing well, or at least I think he is. He doesnt show stress the way I do, so its hard to tell whether he is excited or nervous about the Beans impending arrival, but I also think that he is pretty preoccupied with buying the house and getting everything set before the bean actually gets here. I am thankful for him in so many ways, he really does keep me sain and laughing.

Hope you all are well! More pictures to come, including baby shower pictures and some belly pictures! I am getting pretty darn big, so Im sure you will find them entertaining!

Little Bean's Face :)

He is so handsome already! :)

Ultrasound Pictures!!!

Here are some Ultrasound Pictures I have been meaning to post for a while. They are oldies, but goodies. :) These pictures are from the day we found out that the little Bean is a boy. enjoy! :)
